
Susan CHI
Susan Chi practised as a Patent Re-Examiner in the China State Intellectual Property Office following acquisition of her Bachelor’s degree in Microelectronics Engineering and Bachelor’s degree in Intellectual Property Law. She has extensive experience working in the Patent Re-Examination Board and was the Chief Examiner in patent applications and requests for invalidation of patent rights. She also acted as the Attorney of the Board for administrative actions. Her intellectual property experience also includes internship in the Intellectual Property Court of Qing Dao Intermediate People’s Court. In addition, she has passed the Chinese National Patent Agent Qualification Exam.
Susan is now pursuing her MPhil in Law at the University of Hong Kong. As a part-time research assistant, she has helped the Faculty of Law in translating International and Comparative Intellectual Property: Law and Practice (bilingual edition) (LexisNexis, 2005) and doing research in the field of Chinese Patent Law.
Susan has been working on patent prosecution for China patent applications, as well as prior art searches and patent infringement analysis.
Her working languages are English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese).
