Sammy CHOW
Sammy Chow received her MSc degree in Biochemical Technology from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2005, having acquired a BSc degree in Biology from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2000.
Sammy joined the Gene Group Holding, a local biotech company, in 2000 and worked her way up from Laboratory Technician to an R&D Technologist. She is a dedicated professional with experience in research, clinical and diagnostic, health-care products, and also in product and business development including market surveys and product registration for drugs and medical related equipment in China. In this last aspect, Sammy was sent to assess, evaluate and set up various types of standardization schemes for the laboratory in Shanghai for 6 months. Sammy has assisted in the preparation of patents and publications such as the Journal of Clinical Pathology “Specific epitopes of the structural and hyphothetical proteins elicit variable humoral responses in SARS patients” and Modern Pathology “Coronaviral hyphothetical and structural proteins were found in the intestinal surface enterocytes and pneumocytes of SARS”.
Sammy has assisted in drafting and translating patent documents in the fields of biotechnology, and her working languages are English, Chinese and Cantonese.
