In the latter part of 2001, Jörg joined the Italian law firm of Studio Legale Sutti based in Milan where he developed knowledge and expertise in Italian law, in particular in trademark law and unfair competition law. In addition, he assisted the head of the intellectual property department in preparing speeches on intellectual property due diligence at IRI Institute in Milan in 2001, as well as lectures on this topic at the preparation course for the exam for Italian Trademark agents at Convey Institute in Milan in 2005.
During his Master of Law course, Jörg was a visiting scholar at the University of Padua (Italy) where he focused his studies on the conflict of laws, rounding up his ever growing interest in international aspects of law, leading to his Master thesis on European design law.
