Cedric Yip received his Bachelor of Laws from Peking University in 2001 and his Honour Diploma in Law and Business from Hong Kong Shue Yan University in 1995. He is a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Trade Mark Practitioners.

Cedric has more than 10 years' previous experience in different law firms prior to joining ELLA CHEONG (Hong Kong and Beijing) at the establishment of the firm. He specialises in intellectual property matters in Hong Kong and China.

His extensive working experience includes trade mark prosecution not only for Hong Kong and China but also throughout the Asian regions, as well as oppositions and enforcement.

In addition to trade mark matters, Cedric also handles patent and design prosecution in Hong Kong and China.

His working languages are English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese).
